Garmin eTrex 30

Hi everyone!

Today we are talking about a new model of GPS touring, made for intense athletes looking for a compact and versatile GPS. That is the Garmin eTrex 30.

The eTrex 30 is the top model of the eTrex range. It has internal memory of 1.7 GB and slot for memory cards microSD. This allows stored in the internal memory of the device up to 2000 waypoints, 200 routes, one track log up to 10,000 points, or 200 different track logs (annexe blocks with more than 10,000 points). You can also add other maps other than the basemap that incorporate factory (can also be customized from own maps electronic or paper), even if detailed road maps are added enables automatic creation of routes and turn-turn navigation (by road).

The availability of color screen allows viewing photos we have added to their memory. It features 3-axis electronic compass tilt-compensated, which shows your heading even when standing and the inclined device.

It also incorporates a barometric altimeter, which will indicate the altitude of over more precisely (recording changes in atmospheric pressure) than the other two models in the range. Graph changes in barometric pressure over time, allowing us to monitor changes in the weather.

Allows the automatic transfer data wirelessly between similar units and some models from the same manufacturer.

It is compatible with heart rate monitors and cadence sensors, allowing us to monitor our heart rate or, for example, our cadence.

The price at which we find this model is around € 215 (without adding additional maps or microSD card, only the basic map). As with the eTrex 20 if we want to enjoy the use of fully mapping separately we acquire additional mapping, so the price will be increased more or less depending on your preferences and needs.

Our opinion:
We think it is a very good GPS for long routes, with many features that will travel a unique experience, marking and pointing useful data in a simple and effective way.

Our rating:
9/10
Thanks for your attention, SEE YOU SOON!
