MapMyRide

Hi everyone!

Today we will talk about the app "MapMyRide". It is considered one of the best app for cyclists. With this app we can calculate the distance, the speed, the burned calories, and we can register our food . Also, mapmyride is designed to use the GPS in the phone what we allow us to find out news maps where we can cycle in our city or another part of the world. Also mymapride is much more than a mobile app, It is a website where we can add information about the tours we do, to share them with our friends.Because mymapride also has a part of social network arount bike that we will allow monitor our travels, to follow our friends, to stay in touch with them, to see the paths that they have done and to share ours if we wish.

Other interesting features of MapMyRide:

Altough MapMyRide makes a special emphasis on the bike, it also allows us to monitor our paths if we use other means of transport. It will allow us to make the trip if we choose we go walking, runing or skating, for example.

Other interesting feautre is the possibility to do training which are recorded previously by professional cyclists.

The only bad trait that we have seen, it is that if you want to enjoy all features you must pay every month.

The price is the next:

But we think it don't neccesary to pay because the free app has enough features for the most people.

Conclusion:

Ultimately, we think that this is one of the best app to clycle. We recommended it all cycling community. It is not important if the cyclist is rookie or an expert, because this app will be suitable for anyone.

Our analysis today is about the app Endomondo Sports Tracker. It is a completely app that we can find  in all the platforms: IOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and App Web. Further, it is one of the most popular Sport Apps that exists. With it, we can record many sports such as: running, football, kayak, cycling, skiing.... We can keep track of our activities, to see graphs, observe our evolution, and many more options. It has integration with Facebook API. Definitely, it is one of the similar thing to a personal trainer who can find in a smartphone.

    One of the distinguishing feature is that it is a social network. With it, we can observe the activities of our friends and they ours activities. We can create or join challenges is also a good choice.
    It have three plans:
    • Free: app with blocks and advertisings.
    • Pro: pay for a completely options on the app (4.99 € / one time)
    • Premium: Month pays (3.99us$ / per month or 29.99 us$):

      • Completely graphs
      • Training goals
      • Many options such as 24h assistance,...
    Nothing more to say that we don't know about it. It is definitely one of the best sports app, even their plan free outperforms many of its rivals.

    Conclusion:
    • We recommended it by 100 % to keep track of our training. As we have said, is one of the best in these options.

    SEVEN - High Intensity interval training

    Hi, in the second post we want to talk you about an interesting application for IOS and Android:

    First, this app is based in a High Intensity interval training. This method is supported by American College of Sports Medicine's Health & Fitness and because of this, It was made very famous around the Social Networks. The tables consist of twelve high-intensity exercise to be practiced in 30 seconds, with 10 seconds rest between each, until last seven minutes.

    Our Analysis:

    • Do we recommend using the application?
      • Experts recommend monitoring by professionals. Why? Because this method it is not for everyone and it can cause injuries.
      • We agree with them, but we think that the application can be really beneficial if it is done with care and security, taking our ergonomics, performance, ability and fitness.
      • If you follow the guidelines that the application itself gives you, mainly it doesn't have to have problems. On the other hand, it is probably beneficial to you and motivating.
    • For who?
      • Obviously, if you are a professional athlete it is not your application. But in case you want to improve your fitness, starting from a very low level: it is a good way to improve your fitness. Complete quests and interact with the application and soon you will get results.
    • How much time?
      • At first, 7 minutes could be enough, but not for all. It always depends on your performance. 
      • For the general population, we think 20 minutes may be sufficient, but it is very important to combine with aerobic exercise over 20 minutes at least two days a week.
    • Conclusion
      • For us, we think it is a good application for a healthy physical condition and be able to feel good.
